This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I’m creating our Snack Smiles Project because our class deserves all the energy, joy, and brain-boosting power they can get! Many of our students come from low socioeconomic backgrounds, and too often they arrive at school without a snack to help them stay focused and fueled. Every day, I hear the sweetest voices asking, “Do we have snacks today?”—and I want to be able to say YES! with a big, bubbly burst of excitement.

This project is all about making sure every student in our school, One School, feels supported, cared for, and ready to learn.

A simple snack can make a huge difference in confidence, comfort, and classroom success. So we’re building a snack supply that keeps smiles bright, tummies happy, and learning strong.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
