Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

MCAS season has begun which can be a particularly stressful time of year for both students and staff. At times, we see students eating less of their breakfast and lunches due to their nerves. For some students, those two meals they eat at school are the most important in their day as they don't get much at home or at least not as nutritious.

Providing students with additional snacks that are both healthy and nutritious (with some special treats mixed in as well) would help students keep their energy levels up so they can be successful!

This project will help teachers to have snacks available for hungry students in their classrooms. They can have a quick snack and then get right back to work where they will hopefully be more focused and engaged instead of hungry!
