This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My middle school students are still grappling with the effects of pandemic learning loss. They are resilient and adaptable. Sports are allowed again. My students are playing volleyball and tennis after school. I am very proud of our school sports teams. Students from different grades are coming together for a common goal to win. However, they are also learning how to work with students who are older and younger than them.

Students need snacks so they have the energy to beat the other team.

Every day students are asking me if I have snacks, and I have to limit them to one snack when I know that they are hungry and have not eaten all day. Now, with your help, I can give students the snacks so they can win and learn how to work together!
