Help me give my students the support they need by providing access to snacks. A simple snack can make a difference in their ability to focus, regulate their emotions, and feel cared for during the school day.

My Project

I love how my students feel comfortable coming to my room and trusting it as a safe, welcoming space. Many of the same students stop by every day—some in the morning right after first period, some toward the end of the school day, and others just before heading home on the bus or off to sports practice—often simply looking for food. When I have snacks available, I gladly share, and I’ve begun shopping with these students in mind. However, it is not always financially possible to provide for the number of students who come by regularly.

Having access to these snacks helps students focus, regulate their emotions, and feel cared for, which directly supports their ability to learn and engage throughout the day.

This resource would allow me to consistently offer nutritious options, such as peanut butter crackers and protein bars, rather than just junk food.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
