My Project

These items that I am requesting will make a difference to a diverse population of students. Most of the students are very low income and do not have the security of having food at all times. I am hoping these snacks and small meals can make a difference in their day and keep them in school learning. We must address food insecurity to provide a safe and equitable space for all. Our safe space just gets better every day.

My goal for this project is to create a welcoming environment for students who are majority low income and struggle with food security, to get their favorite snacks and even a meal when needed that will help them be productive throughout the whole day at school as they work towards their diplomas.

My students are special because they are warriors! They get up and come to school regardless of what issues they might face at home and whatever lack of success they may have previously had in school. They are determined to succeed now! They are awesome kids who will make a difference in our society.
