Snacks for Learning

Help me give my students wipes to keep their hands clean and the snacks they need so they can power through the afternoon.

My Project

I teach at an older, urban school where many of my wonderful second-grade students are deemed at-risk but they are trying very hard to learn English at the same time they are learning how to read. Almost all of my students are eligible for free breakfast and lunch, but we are not a Title I school and as a result, we lack the resources and opportunities of many other schools.

My kids need snacks to boost their energy so they can keep learning during the afternoon, but most of my students cannot afford them.

My awesome students work very hard. They eat around 11:30 and when the afternoon rolls around, they are starving. Right now our snack cupboard is bare---it looks like Mother Hubbard is in charge. I am asking for a few different, individually wrapped snacks for my kids and some wipes to keep their hands, computers, boards, and desks clean.

Please consider helping these scholars. It is hard for them to concentrate when their tummies are growling.
