My Students

I am a kindergarten teacher. I have a wonderful group of students! They are constantly impressing me with their hard working attitude, amazing work ethic, and overall positive outlook on life. I am so proud to be their teacher! They deserve the best education possible.

I teach at a rural, Title I school, serving approximately 300 students.

Every child receives free breakfast and lunch. We are located near a large military base and as a result, serve children of active duty and retired military. Our students are bright and eager to learn new things. They are hard workers and strive to make their world a better place.

My Project

Many of my students come to school hungry every day. Without proper nutrition and food children may have trouble concentrating and learning in school. I want to do what I can to help meet my students basic needs in order for them to learn effectively in school.

In order to teach my students to think, I must meet basic needs, including food, first.

I believe that my students should have access to nutritional foods in order to concentrate and learn. Unfortunately, too many children come to school each day hungry. I want to do all I can to promote and support my students, including supporting basic needs.
