My Project

Please help me provide my students with a snack to help fuel their learning. My students are given snack between lunch and dismissal to help them focus.

Young brains need fuel and it's a struggle to learn when your hungry.

There are many of my students who's families deal with food insecurity and being able to provide them with a snack helps my students know they are cared for.

I also use these snacks for learning incentives and behavior incentive. For example if there are 20 snacks in a box but only 17 students that day. I'll take the remaining snack items and split them between my treasure box for good behavior. Or I'll use them for heart word reward snacks. After successfully reading 5 heart word lists students are able to pick a snack as a reward.
