This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Please help me in my mission to reduce hunger in our public schools. Too many times, nutrition becomes a barrier within the classroom. Access to free food is something that could open the gates to education for many struggling students. Without this barrier we can focus on what matters.

Students walk around with hunger in silence, while it affects their brains ability to retain information. In the simplest sense, when the mind is focused on a very basic need, food, it cannot focus on anything els. Thank you for your consideration and help with providing students with a better learning experience.
