During the school shutdown it has been extremely important for my students to keep practicing their instruments at home. With less and less funding available to music and band programs, we have lost the ability to provide reeds to our students. The reed is the wooden/cane sheet that causes the vibrations that causes our instruments to make sound. These are used for only woodwind instruments such as clarinet and saxophone. Without the reed, students that play woodwind instruments cannot practice their instrument. With the purchase of this simple supply, students will be able to practice for the upcoming marching season and school year. I believe that all student with a desire to learn should have access to all required materials - no matter their cost. In today's society more and more African-American students are considered disadvantaged. Please help us get our students into college with all of the potential scholarships in music and the fine arts. Our students need you!
