My Students

Our school is a Title I school, which means over 55% of our children are from low-income homes. My classroom consists of diverse demographic and academic levels of students who are eager to learn. It brings me great joy to observe everyone giving 100% effort; striving to meet our high expectations.

In my class, students are actively learning daily, and this year brings new challenges.

I am expanding my classroom to focus on making sure our students have plenty of snacks for those long days of academics.

My Project

When students are hungry, it's very difficult for them to focus on learning. I use a lot of my salary to purchase snacks for my classroom. It's a great feeling to know that I've facilitated the academic environment, but it can become very costly as well. I even send snack bags home to students to make sure that they have an afternoon snack while they wait to have dinner. It brings my heart joy to know that donors are so willing to give to my classroom. It is greatly appreciated.
