Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work in a low-income​ school with the most amazing students! My students are as diverse as they are intelligent. I have students who are new to our country, students who don't speak English at home, students who only speak English, and students who are gifted and talented.

We are a classroom that celebrates our diversity and our differences.

The majority of my students are English language learners who have very little English support outside of school. My goal is to make every student successful in whatever they set their minds to.

My Project

Please help give my students snacks to help fill a hungry belly, technology to help students and the teacher and school supplies.

Covid has had high impacts in my classroom and it continues to have these impacts.

We are on a virtual week. With this week I have sent home all the crayons my students had in their desk, pencils and other supplies so they can be successful at home learning. When we return to in-person learning we will need to replace those supplies.

My students come to school hungry. They need a little snack to get them tided over until lunch time.

As my students are trying to catch up in their learning, it is my job to make the lessons engaging and fun. Many of the items in my project will help support the high levels of learning.

Finally, I am asking for an iPad to help with my students who do not speak English, they need help translating and accessing apps that can help in their learning. It will also help me assess students reading easier than on my computer.
