Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
At my school, there are over 1,100 students from a variety of different backgrounds. More than half of the students in my school live in poverty, lacking the basic needs to get through a normal school day.
Help me provide snacks, water bottles, and deodorant to our children in need.
A child's entire day can shift in a positive direction when they can maintain their dignity and get what they require for basic human decency. My Peer Mediation room serves as the hub for this positive shift in hundreds of kids every day.
Providing a "safety net" within my large and challenging school building allows my classroom to be a second home for many of our struggling children. Thank you for considering supporting this space!
