My Project

I am a special education teacher of the 8th grade and my students often come to school hungry. When I have healthy snacks for the students to snack on, they are more productive and happier to come to class and work in small group. When a student's stomach is growling, they are unable to concentrate on learning new things. Many students do not eat the school lunch and go through the school day not eating anything, making them moody. When I give them a snack their whole mood changes.

My goal for this project is to make students more productive by providing them with a healthy snack that will make them happy to come to class and work in small groups.

My students are special because they are the seniors of the school. They work hard and are on the verge of graduation. They are about to embark on the next chapter of their life which is high school.
