My students are from a very low socioeconomic area. Many of the students come to my class hungry. My students are always willing to try to do anything. They are amazing kids who although have some challenges are eager to be creative and have some fun together. In our classroom we use a functional curriculum and incorporate crafting as often as possible.
Having some snacks available for the kids to eat when they are hungry helps them to stay focused and motivated to learn and be creative.
They are very talented. The snacks and drinks will be used to provide to the students. The paint pens will be used on the wooden crafting kits that need to be decorated. These crafts will be incorporated into the theme of the week we are using.
