My students are energetic, eager to learn, and fun-loving. Despite some tough situations some of my students face at home, they come in every day really giving it their all. Coming from an urban district at a Title I school, unfortunately my students do not have as many supplies and opportunities as the surrounding districts.
"The most important attitude that can be found is the desire to go on learning." For this reason, I work extra hard to raise money for supplies that will be used by my students.
These supplies benefit my students in so many ways, and it also teaches them a deeper lesson of how good the world can be. Over the years when I have told my students that we have gotten a project funded and we were getting supplies, the looks on their faces were priceless. My students are so appreciative, and donations from kind-hearted people really impact their lives in such a major way!
I teach third grade students and I aim to provide movement breaks throughout the day because brain research shows that movement is linked to higher academic performance. Some of the positive effects I have noticed after movement breaks include happier students, increased focus, increased participation, and better collaborative discussions. However, we can only have a couple of short movement breaks a day. For this reason, I want to provide my students with as many safe opportunities to move during lessons. I would love to have these wobble chairs in my classroom to give my students another option that allows them to wiggle while they are learning.
These innovative wobble chairs would allow students to wiggle and wobble as they work, but still remain seated and focused.
I am also asking for healthy snacks and cleaning supplies to have in m classroom! I want to provide the tools to help make my students successful. The snacks, cleaning supplies and wobble chairs are tools I can add to my classroom that would benefit my students' learning and happiness.
