My Project

Food can be interlinked with childhood trauma in children who have experienced neglect or have gone hungry. We want to provide a feeling of safety in regards to food. We are restocking our snack pantry to make sure our students know their physical needs will always be met.

We are wanting to fund this project to fill the pantry in our special education classroom for any and all students who need a snack!

When children eat regularly scheduled nutritious snacks and meals, blood sugar levels remain constant which allows for optimal opportunity for learning and regulating behavior.

If a student comes in late to school and needs breakfast it will be there. If they forget their lunch or lunch money it will be there. If they cannot afford a snack or forget theirs at home it will be open to them!
