Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students in my class are students with moderate to severe special needs. We focus on learning life skills at an early age (K-2) while promoting independence. Snack time is a great time for making choices, cleaning up after oneself, and allowing the opportunity for independence.

We will be able to add choices for all our students that are on sensory diets, as well as the other students in the classroom with cheese balls, different crackers, fruit snacks, and breakfast bars.

We will also be able to foster independent life skills by allowing our students to carry their own trays to their tables, clean up their faces and tables with wipes, and feeding themselves with appropriate cutlery and cups.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
