Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from many diverse backgrounds and speak many different languages. Some of them are new to the country and not native English speakers. This year I will be teaching 4th grade students who might not have been in a classroom for close to two years due to COVID school closures and remote learning.

My Project

My students are forever asking for food throughout the school day. Because they ask for snacks quite often, I try to have a cabinet with snacks they can choose from. I also use snacks for my after school art program. Because it is mid year, many items they love are running low.

It would be great to continue to provide my students with snacks when they miss breakfast or lunch and when they are hungry after school and their parents didn't provide one!

These snacks will help with keeping our cabinets filled the second half of the school year!
