My Project

The objective of "Snack, Solve, Succeed: Boosting Focus in Math Review" is to maximize student achievement and academic growth by providing targeted, high-impact mathematical support through structured review sessions. The project aims to accelerate academic achievement by 3% by targeting core proficiencies, identifying individual learning gaps, and closing foundational deficiencies to guide students toward grade-level mastery and higher proficiency scores. Additionally, the initiative focuses on enhancing students' problem-solving skills, equipping them with structured strategies to unpack complex, multi-step problems with clarity and logic.

Implementation Plan

To measure impact, their math projections will be used as a baseline data for the targeted cohort. This initial step helps students understand their current academic standing and establishes explicit proficiency goals (targeting Level 3, Level 4, or Level 5 mastery). The proponent will facilitate eight 1-hour review sessions per quarter, totaling 32 sessions across the academic year. To support diverse learning styles, sessions will incorporate instructional videos, practice worksheets, and hands-on math manipulatives.

Nutritional & Focus Strategy

Snacks will be served during each review session. By providing targeted nutrition during instruction, the project leverages both physiological and psychological mechanisms to reduce cognitive fatigue, sustain mental energy, and enhance student focus and engagement during rigorous mathematical tasks.
