My Project

After serving in a school leadership role for the past 12 years, I am excited to return to the classroom, where my heart has always been. While I loved supporting teachers and schools, I deeply missed working directly with students and experiencing the joy, curiosity, and growth that happen every day in the classroom. As I prepare to set up my classroom, I want to create a space where every student feels welcomed, valued, and ready to learn from the moment they walk through the door.

Every day, my students bring curiosity, resilience, and a desire to learn.

They come from a variety of backgrounds, and many face challenges outside of school that no child should have to carry. Even so, they show kindness to one another, celebrate each other's successes, and work hard to reach their goals.

One of the biggest barriers some of my students face is hunger. A classroom snack station will provide snacks for students who arrive hungry or need a little extra fuel during the day. Meeting this basic need helps students stay focused, engaged, and ready to learn.

The resources like the crates and storage cabinet in this project will also help me establish a warm, organized, and inviting classroom where students feel safe, supported, and excited to learn. As I begin this new chapter back in the classroom, these supplies will allow me to build an environment that encourages collaboration, creativity, and a sense of belonging from day one.

By supporting this project, you are doing more than providing snacks and classroom resources—you are helping me create a classroom where every child can focus on learning instead of worrying about hunger.
