it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My ninth-grade students are bright, hardworking, and eager to learn, but hunger can be a major distraction during the school day. Many of them come to class without a full meal or go long hours between breakfast and lunch, making it difficult to concentrate and stay engaged. I want to ensure that my students have the fuel they need to stay focused and succeed by providing a variety of snacks such as granola bars, fruit snacks, crackers, and other nutritious options.
Having access to snacks will help students stay attentive and engaged in their learning, reduce distractions caused by hunger, and show them that their well-being is valued and supported.
My goal is to create a classroom environment where every student can learn without the barrier of hunger. Providing snacks will not only help them academically but also foster a sense of care and encouragement.
My students are determined, resilient, and full of potential. They work hard every day, striving to do their best, and they deserve every opportunity to succeed. A small act—like having a snack when they need it—can make a big difference in their confidence, focus, and overall well-being.
