Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

"The expert in anything was once a beginner." Students in my learning center often struggle with their academics, but with the right attitude, the proper motivation, and lots of practice in a variety of modalities, anything is possible.

Our Learning Center motto is, "Everything is difficult until it's easy." My students prove this everyday despite the obstacles they must overcome.

Just the other day, one of my students was sitting under her desk ripping up paper and complaining about hard division was. However, shortly after finally putting in some effort over the next couple days, she started asking to practice some division during small group because it was starting to get easy for her.

My students are some of the sweetest, funniest, and hard-working kids you will ever meet. They each have their own unique story and their own individual challenges they work to overcome everyday in order to be a leader of their own life.

My Project

I work at a Title 1 school where all students receive free breakfast and lunch, but too often, my students complain of being hungry. They are unable to focus on their academics or tasks at hand because all they can think about is when is lunch time.

Currently, I have been supplying my students with snacks everyday so they are happy, full, and able to try their best in order to make progress on their goals.

This project would greatly help me to make sure there are always snacks in my classroom ready for each and every one of my students.
