My Project

It is the start of a new semester and colder weather here. Kids will often come to school without breakfast or have to wait until a very late lunch time. Having snacks available to the kids is something I feel is very important. I want to make sure the kids aren't worrying about how hungry they are. I want them to be able to focus on their work and get the job done on a full stomach. This might seem like a silly thing, but it also gives me a chance to touch base with the kids and see how they are doing. When the come into the classroom and grab a snack, they also say "Hi" and it lets me check in with them. Giving them a place in the building they know they are welcomed and loved is important.
