Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Over the past few days, I have had several students come to class hungry. The same few students have been starving, not only in the morning, but throughout the day.

They are in the middle of growth spurts, and come from homes with food insecurity, causing them to be unable to focus and learn.

This project will help me provide snacks to kids who need food in their tummies and knowledge in their brains.

As their teacher, it is my job to make sure they are learning and their basic needs are met, to the best of my ability. I hope to be able to feed their minds and their tummies through getting more snacks into my classroom.
