My Project

Middle school students are HUNGRY! They are more alert and ready to work when they've had something in their bellies. Many of the students call me "Mom" and my husband (the band director) "Dad". In turn, they come to my room many times throughout the day and ask if "Mom" has any snacks. They know that my young son won't eat all of his candy from Halloween, Christmas, parades, etc. so they come and raid my stash. I clean out my home pantry at the end of every month and take the items that will expire soon to school. The kids devour everything the day I bring it.

In the past, I've bought many bulk snacks for my students with my own money, which I was happy to do as I want to provide everything I can for my kids.

I just can't afford to do it anymore, with my own son growing and helping to supply his classroom with snacks. I want to fill everyone's bellies so they can continue to be alert and ready to work, and this would be a great help!
