The majority of my students come from homes with limited financial security and flexibility. While many work hard, their efforts are sufficient for paying the bills leaving very little remaining for extras, such as snacks. COVID has definitely made buying extras even more difficult.
Children learn best when feeling encouraged, cherished, and well-fed.
Snacks provide that little extra that says; "You're doing a great job, keep it up!"
While a little treat may not seem like a big deal, to children whose parents can't always afford them, they can elicit great results and responses. Allowing me to encourage my students will help ensure their success!
