I teach a class of 25 amazing second graders. They are loving, intelligent, kind, and funny. They come to school wanting to learn and become better citizens.
My students come from diverse backgrounds, and many come from families at lower income levels.
Many come from challenging home environments and have limited resources at home. I also have English language learners and students with special needs such as autism, ADD, and ADHD. Many of my students do not have the basic supplies to help them succeed. The one thing they all have in common is that they are eager to learn.
My Project
Snack time is an important part of our school day. My students are able to eat a mid-morning snack to nourish and fuel their brains. Many of them don't eat breakfast in the morning so a snack is essential. I would like to provide my students with healthy snacks during snack time.
A healthy child is a happy child.
