Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

All students deserve to have their most basic needs met, yet many don't. With these snacks, I will be able to provide my students with a snack when they are hungry so that they can focus on their learning. We all know how hard it is as an adult to concentrate when you are hungry, but imagine being a child trying to focus on what they are supposed to be learning, but all they can think about is how hungry they are.

These snacks will enable my students to focus on the lessons and assignments better because being hungry should not be a distraction a 10 year old should have to deal with.

My students come from a range of backgrounds and socioeconomic statuses. Although the year has just started, I can already tell that my students are sweet and will work hard. They all deserve to have a great, worry-free school year. I have provided many with school supplies, but I would also like to be able to provide them with snacks when they need it. I hope that with this project, my students will have one less thing to worry about so that they can still enjoy being a child and will achieve their goals for the school year!
