My Project

My students put a lot of time and effort into the wood projects and prototypes that they create in their manufacturing and engineering classes. For instance, in Engineering we experiment with creating prosthetic arms made out of rough materials like 2x4s. A huge complaint in the prosthetics industry is that arms are uncomfortable to wear. Sanding something smooth can be a key component to how something feels. Whether its wood, plastic, or something else, its best when a smooth surface touches our skin. Currently, we have very few handheld sanders to use on their projects. Which can cause the sanding process to take a long time.

These sanders will be used to transform student designs into reality.

Power tools speed up the process significantly and give student back more of their time to create more impressive and fulfilling projects.
