I teach Desktop Publishing, Word Processing, Computer Applications, and Keyboarding to high school students in grades ninth through twelfth.
Our school district is growing every year, and will be one of the largest in the state of Mississippi when we start school in August. We are in a low-income community. We are located in northern Mississippi.
My Project
My Desktop Publishing classes are in desperate need of a digital camera for our Tiger Talk newsletter. We do not have a camera, so we have to borrow one or bring one from home to take pictures for the newsletter This newsletter is sent home to the parents with report cards. My other classes could benefit greatly from a digital camera especially when I am teaching PowerPoint.
Having a digital camera will allow our students to do their assignments in a timely manner as well as cover events simultaneously, and to show their great talent through photography. If we are provided with a new digital camera, the entire school will reap the benefits by having a newsletter to send home to the parents with pictures of the student population and what is happening at school.
