We have been very effective with our Yoga this semester. We have offered it in the mornings for teachers and students to relax and learn new physical skills. We have meetings during break as well. We have a Yoga Club of active students once a month too.\r\n\r\nOur most enthusiastic group of students are our PE classes. We have been providing Yoga to our all of our PE students as part of their class. They are able to learn breathing techniques, anti-anxiety skills, and new physical challenges. This give us an opportunity to help them with with Body, Mind, and Spirit. They ask to have Yoga each week, and it has been very effective.\r\n\r\nHernando High School is also working with the Mental Health therapist as a supplemental support to her therapy sessions. There are several Special Education students that come and have learned new ways to cope with their anger. We have been trying to \"touch\" the lives of every student at Hernando High School. We have over 1500 currently, and each student has been able to have the opportunity to be touched by your generous donation. \r\n\r\nOur next project and focus will be our district wide Mental Health Awareness day in May. We are using the practice of Yoga to spear head this event. It will be presented to the Board Education.
