My Project

I want my students to be able to take pride in their science notebooks, but our current set of Mr. Sketch Markers is in desperate need of being replaced. We've taken care of them and been able to use them for several years, but 100 students using them on almost a daily basis has taken its toll. What are we doing in class, you may ask? We spend a lot of time in my class drawing diagrams of our science labs or concepts we're learning and adding a pop of color helps my visual learners categorize things. We also highlight information in our textbook to help students learn how to analyze core content.

Our world involves so much more than paper, pencils, and textbooks and our students' education should reflect that.

By providing opportunities for my students to organize their ideas using color, I hope to open doors to them and expand their thinking in a way that they never imagined possible. Additionally, by teaching students how to identify important concepts (rather than just coloring the whole page), I hope to set them on a successful path in their future education.
