My Students

There are many reasons why my students are special, but the most important reason is that they are eager to beat the odds of their communities.

My current students are big dreamers.

Regardless of the things that are happening around them, they are excited to continue their education. Our school is nestled in the central part of our city. My students are considered at high risk to join gangs, use drugs, and get involved with violence, but they are working hard to avoid being a part of negative statistics.

We are a Title I school where one hundred percent of the students receive free lunch. Every day, we work together to create opportunities that will help build strong and productive futures for every student.

My Project

The class of 2022 have many celebratory events scheduled this spring and we are so excited about this! One of those senior activities is Decision Day. It is a celebration of our high school seniors who have officially made the decision to enroll in a college, university or join the military after graduation. This event usually takes place sometime in May, a week or so before graduation. My goal is to have raffles and games to give out the televisions and mini refrigerators. I would love your help to make this day a little brighter.

Each student committed to a college, university or military will be gifted something special on this day.

This project includes smart tv's and dorm room size refrigerators.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
