Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

In PreK we learn a lot throughout the year. Part of how we learn is through play and games. One of our classroom favorites this year is BINGO. We have alphabet bingo and colors and shapes bingo. We would love to add number bingo! A great way to keep our brains sharp is through memory games, which is why we want to add alphabet memory to our activities. Our class has not experienced Connect 4, but I would love to try it with my students since many of them love tic tac toe. Binder clips are a great way to hold our papers and activities together.

Game Play lets children practice what they know, and also what they don't.

It allows them to experiment through trial and error, find solutions to problems, work out the best strategies, and build new confidence and skills. This is why we love to play games during small groups. It's a fun way to learn!
