My class has been so excited to use our new art supplies! We have been busy introducing materials and learning how to use the tools and items we received. The kids love having so many different items to use and they are full of smiles and enthusiasm when I introduce something new.. \r\n\r\n In the beginning weeks of school we used the multicultural construction paper to make self-portraits. These turned out so well and we have received many compliments from staff and parents alike. It was a tangible way to celebrate individual uniqueness. They are displayed in the hallway for all to see! \r\n\r\nWe also participated in a school-wide project on \"Dot Day.\" We did a multi-step project including the dot markers. The kids enjoyed using the dot markers and paint. \r\n\r\nThe powerful pencil sharpener and paper cutter are used daily. We will continue to create using the supplies you so generously gifted us. Thank you for stocking our classroom with excellent materials. \r\n\r\nThe students in my class are learning so much, both academically and socially, through art. Art naturally has a way of building confidence and I have seen my students take risks and feel proud of themselves and their work. I can use it to talk about sweet and salty or hard or soft, or even colors and counting.
