Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Some of the students in our school are at a distinct disadvantage and fall academically due to the achievement gap. This is a result of the lack of adequate hands-on resources in the classroom and the environment in which they live.
My students come from diverse backgrounds.
Their lives have uncertainty and unpredictability outside of school. Due to these circumstances, many of them lack the prior knowledge to be successful in school. I know that your contribution will help impact the lives of my Cardinals.
My Project
A Smart TV in our classroom would help to update the current technology we have. When linked to Chromecast, it will display the screens from student's Chromebooks for everyone to see. Students will be able to share what they are learning and working on. Also, when it is connected to my computer, we will be able to use the TV to project PowerPoint presentations, graphic organizers, videos, photos, and so much more to assist in academic subjects and learning.
Students will become more engaged and will be able to share their knowledge with this impressive, innovative technology.
