My Students

We spend a great deal of time critically thinking, problem solving, and learning life skills in our kindergarten classroom. My students enjoy being challenged and working hard to set goals and conquer them. As their teacher, I connect these important skills to the kindergarten curriculum by using a variety of materials, modes of instruction, and strategies.

I want to provide my students with all the opportunities I possibly can to level the playing field for their future.

While I am the leader in our classroom community, I feel they are most successful when they are being independent thinkers, working with partners, or in small groups.

My Project

This year I would love to plan a Family Game Night with my students and their parents. While there are many children's games available, I would like my students to play games that support key cognitive and mathematical skills.

Snow White, The Three Little Piggies, and Jump In games from SmartGames support the development of skills like planning, logic and problem solving.

While playing these engaging games, students are increasing their spacial awareness skills and using strategies to solve puzzles and challenges. In addition to Family Game Nights, these games will be used during our STEM center time during the school day.
