My Students

We are a close family, but we need some space! Help us spread out during small groups!

With a big push on small group instruction, the problem my classroom encounters is finding the space to work!

My third grade class is full of hard workers and is made up of almost exactly half boys and half girls. With this teaching table, I will be able to monitor and help my students in a variety of ways. We will be able to work as a team in an efficient and effective manner.

My Project

Right now, when we have multiple small groups in the room, people are uncomfortable and everywhere. We are in the hallway, on the floor, grouping desks together, or squished around a small table. These other places are not conducive for my students' best work. In order for these students to maintain focus and achieve to the best of their ability, they need to be offered a comfortable place to learn. My students need a kidney-shaped table for more small group opportunities.

I value small groups immensely.

I invite parents to come and work with my students, however, part of the small group time is spent on organizing a place or pushing desks together. This teaching table will allow us to spend more time learning and less time rearranging furniture.
