My Project

I am excited to create a math classroom where every student feels supported, valued, and capable of success. As I build our new classroom community, I want my students to know that their ideas matter and that they have a place where they can learn, collaborate, and grow as mathematicians. My students bring unique backgrounds, experiences, strengths, and learning needs into our classroom. This diversity makes our classroom stronger because students have the opportunity to share different perspectives, strategies, and ways of thinking about mathematics.

The Correll 60" Flower Shaped Activity Table will provide a dedicated space for small-group math instruction, intervention, and collaborative problem solving.

The design of this table allows students to face one another, engage in mathematical conversations, explain their reasoning, and learn from their peers. This space will become the center of our math workshop where students can work together, ask questions, and build confidence.

In a sixth-grade classroom, students enter with a wide range of academic experiences and confidence levels in mathematics. This table will allow me to provide targeted instruction, reteach challenging concepts, and meet students where they are in their learning journey. Students will use this space with hands-on math tools, visual models, and manipulatives to make abstract concepts easier to understand and experience those important "Aha!" moments in mathematics.

Your support will help transform our classroom into a space where every learner has the opportunity to grow. This table will provide a place for students to collaborate, receive the support they need, and discover that they are capable mathematicians.
