Help me give my students a place where we can meet in small differentiated groups. This will allow them to be placed with other students who are on their same level. A place where they can learn together.
I work in a Title I School, teaching wonderful students who aren't given many opportunities, and many who are faced with many challenges both in school and outside of school. They are faced with various learning disabilities that make concentrating hard. They come from low economic households and struggle in daily life. They are so much fun to teach, and I wouldn't want to trade them for anything! They are sweet, kind, caring, energetic and soak up all the learning I can provide them with.
My Project
These materials will make a difference in my students learning because it will provide a way for them to meet with other students on their same level. They would be able to collaboratively learn and grow with one another. It would provide me as their teacher a way to meet in a smaller group to focus on their specific needs. Students who struggle, often keep quiet in whole class discussion. This table would help them share, and to ask questions in a smaller group setting because they would feel more confident to do so with students who share their struggles.
