My students come from a variety of backgrounds and also have a wide range of educational needs. My classroom is located in a small town with a diverse background base. In my classroom, we engage in a variety of learning methods, such as small teacher led groups, student cooperative learning, and whole group learning. The students in my class have a love of learning and engage in these various learning methods with joy and excitement. Their love of learning will allow them to excel in the future!
My Project
I would like to have this requested adjustable group table for my classroom to use to help struggling students, as well as during my station rotations. This horseshoe shaped table will make my small group setting more efficient allowing individualized help for students during whole group math and tier math intervention.
Students will be able to utilize cooperative learning strategies while they are practicing their multiplication table and division facts in a close environment that is easier for group interaction.
During science instruction, a horseshoe table will house science experiments, as well as a small group reading center. With a horseshoe table, I will be able to reach several struggling students at a time, in a small group setting, allowing students a more individual, needs based learning environment. Students will be able to more easily interact with me, as well as their peers.
