This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Many of my students, and students within the school, come from low-income families. They have their own issues to deal with at home that they bring to school. Despite what they may go through, my students try their hardest in learning the curriculum. They are eager to learn and show progress. It is amazing to see their faces when they learn something. With motivation and encouragement, my students excel.

My students have a great motivation and a fire within them to want to learn.

I try my best to keep that fire alive for them. My students and those who come in the next few years deserve the best education and resources possible to flourish.

My Project

These past few years I never had the space to be able to conduct small group across any of the subjects. I always had to sit with the students on the floor or I would use one of my students table. The latter caused me to have to move students to different tables all the time. Despite getting into a routine, I still had to supervise this. Having a dedicted table where I could work with my students for small group work and not having to disrupt the whole class would be ideal! It would be great to be able to have all the supplies ready at the table rather than getting them from one location, bringing them to the table and then playing musical chairs. My students would greatly benefit git from this space.
