They are used weekly! My kindergarten classes absolutely love using these tools. \r\n\r\nI have initiated sensory play Friday with my 12:1 Kindergarten class. They look forward to it every week. Every Friday I open the cabinet and the students choose which bin they want to work with that day- they almost always choose one of the kinetic sand bins (construction, dinosaur dig, ice cream shop). They take the bins to a desk and I use the smart board to play relaxing ambiance music. We had a lot of sensory Fridays with a cozy \"fire\" in the background. It is the perfect way to end a Friday- we relax and recover at the end of the day.\r\n\r\nMy other kindergarten classes have started to use the sensory tools as one of their center options. It is always a first choice! Not only does it give the students a chance to relax, but also play!! Play is so important at this age! I love hearing the students playing, using their imagination, and CREATING! We are all so grateful for these tools and this opportunity.","fullyFundedDate":1762540637525,"projectUrl":"project/sensory-tools-to-explore-and-play/9863709/","projectTitle":"Sensory Tools to Explore and Play!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Robinson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp3259194_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1524012527730","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ltheatre"},{"teacherId":9743118,"projectId":9729357,"letterContent":"The Cozy Corner quickly became a favorite spot in the classroom. With just two bean bags and more books, students felt more comfortable and excited to read. Many of them were able to stay focused for longer during independent reading, especially students who usually have a hard time sitting at their desks or staying engaged. Having a cozy space made reading feel more enjoyable and less like work.\r\n\r\nThe space also helped support students emotionally. The bean bags gave students a calm, safe place to relax, which helped them regulate their emotions and reset when needed. Students often asked to use the Cozy Corner and showed more interest in choosing books on their own. Overall, this small change made the classroom feel more welcoming and helped build a positive attitude toward reading.","fullyFundedDate":1758898914729,"projectUrl":"project/special-ed-cozy-corner/9729357/","projectTitle":"Special Ed Cozy Corner","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Tafa","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9743118_orig.jpg?crop=516,516,x204,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1729956671093","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-tafa"},{"teacherId":9743118,"projectId":9705989,"letterContent":"The new books have really helped students practice things like decoding, building vocabulary, and talking about characters and story events. Since they're excited about what they're reading, they're putting in more effort and building their reading stamina.\r\n\r\nIndependent reading has become a calm, focused part of our day. It's about giving students the ability to choose how they learn best.
