My Project

My students are in a low-income area and are faced with much trauma in their young lives. I chose to teach here with the hopes of inspiring at least one child and making a difference in this diverse community.

Flexible seating options stimulate students' sense of touch.

This type of stimulation can help children focus and process information. Movement increases oxygen flow to the brain, blood flow, and core strength. Sensory input is especially helpful for students with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and autism spectrum disorder (ASD). These items help to increase movement within the classroom, which allows students to remain in class and learning.

These students have so much potential and I want to give them all the possibilities to be successful. Education is the key to a brighter future. Your donation can provide opportunities for students to succeed.
