Students will work together to create, test, and improve their structures while thinking about how real buildings can be designed to withstand events such as earthquakes, floods, or strong winds. This will help make the science standards more meaningful by giving students a hands-on way to apply what they are learning.\r\n\r\nMy students were so excited when they saw the new STEM supplies. Their excitement showed me how much they enjoy having opportunities to learn through hands-on activities. Students will be able to dive into the lives of historical figures as we learn more about history. I also love using the Pigeon books to teach social skills and social-emotional learning in the classroom. These books provide engaging and meaningful ways for students to connect reading with important social and emotional skills.\r\n\r\nMy goal is to create a classroom where students see reading as something enjoyable rather than just another assignment.
