Small Group Book Club Fun!

Help me give my students grade level appropriate chapter books to push their learning in small groups.

My Project

My students are so special to me. They work incredibly hard every day. We do reading small groups in our reading block each day. This small group time is so many of my students favorite time of the day because they get one on one attention and some of the best learning occurs. Our school has a lot of picture books for groups to use, but as my third graders get further into the school year they need more chapter book content. I am requesting books that would give us what we need!

We are hoping for sets of five chapter books so I can start and continue to run book clubs, with these chapter books, in our small groups.

I put an assortment of different types and genres of books that I know my students will enjoy. I will use the books in my group to teach the reading content and topics that we are learning in the classroom. Students can also take their group books home with them for the evening to read the chapters for group the next day. This is really awesome because so many of my students do not have many books at home.

It would be so special for my class to get these books to use for my small groups! I know it would push their learning forward and get them prepared for fourth grade and the state tests that are coming soon!
