My Project
My GATE students are a diverse group with unique learning needs and talents. Their enthusiasm for creative challenges and collaborative work makes them an ideal group for this project, as they will bring fresh ideas and energy to the mosaic process.
These small, colorful cubes will allow students to build intricate mosaic designs, fostering collaboration and teamwork as they work together to solve design challenges.
The Mini Rubik's Cubes will enhance students' learning by providing a tangible, interactive medium for them to explore concepts such as geometry, patterns, and symmetry. Through the process of creating mosaics, students will develop critical thinking skills as they learn to manipulate the cubes in various ways to form art.
I also want to use this new mosaic experience and allow my students to make a special design for a community member! It could be a staff member (their face or favorite team) or a local business (their logo, company name, or one of their popular products). We will take a picture of the final mosaic and have an 8x10 printed and framed, which we then can gift to the community member to hang on a special wall.
