This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Physical education standards for 5th grade include learning and practicing how to strike a dropped ball, with a racket or paddle, toward a target by using the forehand movement pattern. This is hard to teach, however, when there are not enough nets or rackets for our 30 students to play at a time. In fact, we only have 1 (volleyball) net and only 4 rackets for the whole school to use. Sometimes, even that isn't available in the case that another class borrows the equipment.

Through this project, I seek to acquire enough nets and rackets for my whole class to be able to play badminton and practice those (among other) PE standards.

Everyone deserves a wholesome education (for every subject matter)!
