This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My sixth-grade science classes are comprised of approximately 150 amazing students, many of whom come from very diverse cultures and backgrounds. I teach a wide range of students from the magnet program, ESE students, as well as advanced and gifted classes.

Our middle school strives to provide an excellent education for grades 6-8 and provides a rigorous academic course load that is made possible by the fantastic teachers and staff who work in tandem to create a safe and accessible learning environment for all of our students.

Curious minds want to know; all about the science that is! Students at my class have the desire and passion to learn. They are motivated and full of wonder about the world we live in and the problems they will have to solve. They are the out-of-the-box problem solvers and thinkers of tomorrow.

Help me create the most engaging science classroom these students have ever encountered. From Glow Review parties to edible labs, this is a great opportunity to show them another way that learning can be fun!

My Project

It's about that time!!! SLIME TIME!!! Please help me provide my students with laundry detergent, bowls, and other materials to make slime. We also need paper towels and Clorox wipes to clean up the mess!!

Creating labs that are hands-on is the best way for students to learn.

We also need spooky decorations to make our room feel like fall and Halloween. Even though my students are in middle school providing activities like this one make all the difference. We are also going to make pumpkin candy corn catapults to infuse STEM and fall together for an awesome lab.
